The Disruption Games—and Why You Need to Fail

As a futurist, I can tell you that all trends point to the fact that by 2030, the global labor force will be led by an elite set of knowledge workers enabled by robotic AI—and by the next generation the roles will likely be reversed.

It may be counter-intuitive, but change has not emerged rapidly in the past 30 years. But the change that is going to happen will be seismic, light speed, and most people won’t be ready for it. The kind of learning required to be successful in this new landscape is not defined by theoretical knowledge, but through experiential engagement. For change to happen, we are the ones that need to evolve, and only a few of us will.

Over the next few years, failure will become a necessary growth strategy for any individual or firm.
